Zack Rabin
Bass-baritone Zack Rabin recently re-joined St. Petersburg opera as their Leporello cover with one performance in Don Giovanni. Recent engagements have included the title character in Don Pasquale with Capitol City Opera, Dulcamara (cover) in L'elisir D'amore with St. Petersburg Opera, Bartolo in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Sarastro in The Magic Flute in NYC. Zack is a frequent performer with Opera Collective in NYC as well, and made his European debut two summers ago in France with the festival Lyrique-en mer where he sang the role of Luther in The Tales of Hoffmann and was a part of the young artist supercoro. He returned to France this summer to cover Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and sing Sacristan in Tosca.
Previous roles for Mr. Rabin include Colline/Schaunard (La Bohème), Le Chat (L'enfant et les Sortilèges), Seneca (L’Incoronazione di Poppea), Dottore (La Traviata), Junius (The Rape of Lucretia), Carl-Magnus (A Little Night Music), Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), Frank (Die Fledermaus), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Sprecher (The Magic Flute), and Simone (Gianni Schicchi). Mr. Rabin received internationally renowned training from Joan Dornemann’s program The International Institute of Vocal Arts in Tel Aviv, Israel, and The International Vocal Arts Institute in Chiari, Italy. Zack has received numerous scholarships and awards, and studies voice with Mark Schnaible in New York City.
