Liza Gibbs, a native of Washington State, got stuck in with this crazy bunch of divas while attending Indiana University, and only met more of them studying at the Manhattan School of Music.  Since coming to New York, Liza has established herself as a versatile freelancer, performing with prominent orchestras and chamber ensembles, in addition to playing lead oboe with the OOT Orchestra.  In recent concerts, Liza has appeared as a soloist with the Spokane String Quartet and was featured with the American Sinfonietta playing solo English Horn, a performance that aired on NPR’s Performance Today.   As a chamber musician, Liza has performed with Imani Winds, St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble, Sylvan Winds, Paula Robison, and has recently established a wind quintet, West Side Winds.  Ms. Gibbs also performs with many top orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and the Opera on Tap Orchestra.  Lastly, Liza would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Ricci for allowing her to shamelessly self-promote on the OOT website.
